KOCO CENTER DIRECTOR

KOCO Child Care Center in East Hampton is seeking to hire a Director to train with the current Executive Director in preparation for her retirement. KOCO is a large, not-for-profit center licensed for 151 students, and employs about 35 staff. Candidates should have background in the following areas: financial, nonprofit, marketing, personnel, families & students, curriculum, facility repair/maintenance, community relations. This position requires tact, discretion, good judgment, ability to multitask, positive attitude, resilience, enthusiasm and energy. Upon successful completion of training (6 months minimum), the Director will have an opportunity to assume the Executive Director role.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Master’s preferred)

Minimum of 2 years experience in child care administration

Certifications: CT OEC Head Teacher, Director’s Course, FA-CPR, Medication Administration

Monday-Friday, as needed between 6:15 am and 6:00 pm (and otherwise as needed)

Reports to Executive Director

PRESCHOOL TEACHER Full Time

KOCO Child Care Center in East Hampton, CT is looking for a full time experienced Preschool Teacher. The hours are 8:00-4:30, and pay starts at $16.95/hour (higher with ECE credits). Successful candidates have experience and/or education in early childhood, have an understanding of curriculum and CT-ELDS, are reliable, and can cooperate with a partner teacher. Main duties:

Cooperate with co-teacher(s)

Interact with parents and junior staff

Facilitate learning for up to 19 students ages 3-4-5 years

Generate lesson plans using a variety of resources

Understand and employ CT-ELDS

Interact with community ECE professionals

Attend preschool-related trainings and functions

Required:

At least 18 years old

Experience in early childhood education, preferably preschool

Good work ethic, reliable attendance

Ability to cooperate with others

Desirable but not required:

CT OEC Registry Account

CT OEC BCIS Background Check

First Aid CPR AED

Medication Administration

College credits in Early Childhood Education

KOCO Child Care Center in East Hampton, CT is looking for two full time experienced Toddler Teachers. The hours are 7:00-3:00 or 8:00-4:30, and pay starts at $16.95/hour (higher with ECE credits). Successful candidates have experience and/or education in early childhood, have an understanding of curriculum and CT-ELDS, are reliable, and can cooperate with a partner teacher.
