Janet Santos
Executive Director

Miss Janet has been at KOCO for 24 years, moving from Preschool Teacher (2002) to Assistant Director (2005) to Co-Director (2021) to Executive Director (2024). Prior to teaching at KOCO, Janet taught at the YMCA, Independent Day School, Guilford Schools, East Hampton Schools.

Brian Barber

Assistant Director

With KOCO since 2005

 

A native of East Hampton, Mr. Brian began teaching  at KOCO part time during high school. Brian has taught in every KOCO program and knows every single child! Mr. Brian has taken Early Childhood classes at Manchester Community College and has earned his CT Head Teacher certificate. Brian became Assistant Director in 2021.

Matthew Barber

Opening Administrator

With KOCO since 2019

 

Mr. Matt was once a KOCO kid. He has taught in all areas at KOCO since he began in 2019 after earning his BA in Mathematics from Southern CT State University. Matt has a CT Head Teacher certificate.

I can’t say enough positive things about Koco. We have tried all three daycare centers in East Hampton and Koco is by far the best! My 5 year old son has struggled in daycares and at first struggled at Koco too when he was 4. However, after some time away Koco was willing to welcome him back now that he is in a better place! I am so grateful for the compassion and understanding Koco has shown our family. Our 3 year old and now 7 month baby also attend Koco and LOVE it! The preschool classroom is great and is working to help my son learn independence while also a fun creative space. My baby girl has loved Koco since day one. They have done creative art and sensory projects. I feel comfortable while at work not having to worry about my baby. The administration and teachers are amazing! The director and assistant director are always willing to help or answer a question. I also appreciate that one of them is there at all times. My kids have loved all of their teachers. They are all great with the kids and you can really tell they enjoy their jobs! Koco’s prices are great for the care provided! I would recommend Koco to anyone looking for a daycare center in town! -
